Description
The almond is the fruit of sending it, which also produces intoxicating flowers.
Almonds are harvested by hand in the period August - September and are widely used in the kitchen, to make both savory and sweet recipes.
Also used to make drinks by joining other ingredients, but becoming themselves the main and unique protagonist. As in almond milk, very energetic and containing a significant percentage of: proteins, vitamins B1 and B ”, magnesium (most present mineral), iron and calcium.
Despite having all these positive properties, they also have a high calorie content; therefore better not to exceed in consumption.
Useful is also the oil that can be extracted, by cold pressing, from almonds. Rich in vitamins E, B and minerals, it is clear and odorless, it can be used as an emollient for dry and sensitive skin and also as a massage oil, flavored with essential oils to perfume the skin. It is also found as a base for ointments and massage creams.
