[100,000 SHU] Chupetinho is a variety of Brazilian chilli which takes its name from the characteristic of the fruit in the shape of a “pacifier or bottle”.
The plant is part of the capsicum chinense family. Very compact, it can reach 50-65cm in height and 60-80cm in width with dark green ovoid leaves.
Despite her petite stature she is very productive. In the open field it can grow to resemble a large bush full of hanging hot peppers.
Also valid as an ornamental terrace or balcony plant.
The flowers have white petals; usually they are found in number of two or three per node.
The fruits ripen in about 120 days and have a pendulous bearing, elongated and pointed apex and smooth exocarp; they can reach a size of 1.5 - 3.5cm in length and turn from light green to orange when fully ripe.
Cultivate immediately in full sun, irrigation should not be abundant.
